Thursday, April 25
12:00 – 1:00 Eastern Standard Time

The importance of an inclusive work environment cannot be underestimated. Given the increasing diversity of the United States, promoting a work environment that values a myriad of standpoints is vitally important to the success of any company or organization. It is one thing to have a diverse work force. It is more important to learn to value and successfully use their multiplicity of ideas and points of view through an inclusive workplace.

This webinar will focus on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Specifically, attendees will reflect on their own conventions and learn how to promote a more inclusive environment in their everyday work interactions. Utilizing an intersectional framework, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about:

  • Challenging assumptions of how race, class, gender, sexuality, and their intersections, etc impact people’s lives and interactions
  • Understanding and examining their own power and privilege in various contexts
  • Better understanding how to value and incorporate an increasingly diverse workforce and apply it to their workplace.
