Dr. Tanner has served as a community corrections professional since 1970. He specializes in Cognitive Social Psychology, Sociology of Law, and Evaluation Research. He has authored Quick Skills and has worked alongside Dr. Stephen Brake to create the Structured Sex Offender Treatment (SSTOR). Additionally, he designed Field Search, currently in use by law enforcement in numerous countries. He is the President of KB Solutions.

Dr. Tanner is nationally recognized for his expertise in adult and juvenile offenders. He has given numerous seminars and workshops to local, state, and national agencies.
