2026 Annual Meeting Call for Participation
The 2026 annual meeting of the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology is virtual. Join us via Zoom on Friday October 16th and Saturday October 17th as we come together as thought leaders, scholar-activist, and sociological practitioners.
Beauty, Truth, and Goodness: The Practice of Positive Change
In a world overwhelmed by misinformation, negativity, and inequity – upholding truth and ethical leadership is a priority. It is in such times as these where honesty, goodness, and optimism set a foundation for positive change. As sociological practitioners, we strive for a world where everyone can flourish.
Our shared goal is to foster environments where diversity is celebrated, and every individual’s inherent worth is recognized. This requires dedication, humility, and a steady commitment to beauty, truth, and goodness. We embody the practice of positive change through our scholarship, our activism, our curiosity, and our service.
Together, we can practice positive change by grounding our efforts in ethical principles and a clear sense of purpose. This is about consistently choosing kindness and seeing the beauty all around us that society often wishes to distract us from. Even amid conflict or hardship, streams of hope and kindness flow through our communities, guiding us toward positive change.
I encourage you today to submit proposals that reflect on beauty, truth, and goodness and how this contributes to our collective effort towards practicing positive change. Let’s uplift each other through scholarly dialogue, inspiration, and unwavering optimism amid uncertainty.
